Artist Statement
My palette is often a reflection of my vision at that moment, allowing my past travels and Northwest background to show through my work.
The process is a meditative one, where I build and deconstruct layers, allowing chance to become part of the composition. This mirrors how memories themselves are not static but change over time. My choice of media best describes the mood and environment at that time, suggesting a collective experience.
Ultimately, my goal is to create a visual and emotional space for viewers to reflect on their own relationship with the present or past. By reinterpreting familiar imagery, I invite them to consider how personal histories are inscribed onto a place and how the landscape, in turn, shapes who we become.
